The project

The IVF Abroad Patient’s Guide is IVF Media’s flagship publication: a free, annually updated guide for anyone considering fertility treatment outside their own country. Now in its 2026 edition, it compares treatment across 11 destinations – Spain, the Czech Republic, North Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Latvia, Poland, Denmark, Ukraine, Georgia and Turkey – in the three areas patients ask about most:

  • IVF law and regulations by country – who can be treated, age limits, donor anonymity
  • Treatment costs – IVF, egg donation, embryo donation and egg freezing, compared by destination
  • Success rates – IVF and egg donation comparisons, explained honestly

The guide also ranks destination popularity based on IVF Media’s own patient surveys, so readers can see where patients like them actually go.

Methodology

The guide draws on European IVF-monitoring Consortium and ESHRE registry data, combined with original research conducted by IVF Media with fertility clinic representatives across the covered countries. It is updated every year as laws, prices and success rates change. More than 10,000 copies have been downloaded to date.
