Chief Executive Officer, IVF Media Ltd. | Chair, European Fertility Society

Jakub Dejewski has worked in the fertility and IVF field since 2009 and is the CEO and co-founder of IVF Media Ltd., the international media group behind 11 patient education websites in five languages. He chairs the European Fertility Society, holds MSc and MBA degrees, and is a member of the British Fertility Society and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). An author, publicist, speaker and researcher, his work centres on one conviction: fertility patients make better decisions – and have better outcomes – when they are properly informed and properly cared for.
From inside the industry to the patient’s side
Jakub entered the fertility sector in 2009, building international sales and patient relations for the industry and gaining more than 25 years of broader business and leadership experience along the way. What he saw from the inside shaped everything that followed: patients crossing borders for treatment with no independent information, no way to compare clinics fairly, and no one whose job it was to represent their interests.
In 2012 he co-founded IVF Media with Aleksander Wiecki to close that gap. Today the group’s websites – EggDonationFriends, Fertility Clinics Abroad, Fertility Road, WhereIVF and their German, French, Italian and Polish sister sites – help patients around the world research IVF, egg donation and fertility treatment abroad with fact-based, independent information, free of paid rankings.
Patient advocacy: #StrongerTogether and the European Fertility Society
In April 2020, when clinics across Europe suspended treatment during the pandemic and thousands of patients were left mid-cycle without answers, Jakub co-founded the #StrongerTogether initiative together with Aleksander Wiecki. What began as emergency online support grew into a continuing programme of webinars and expert events for patients facing the hardest moments of treatment – including unsuccessful cycles – built around a simple promise: education, information, and the feeling that you are not alone.
From that initiative, Jakub founded the European Fertility Society in December 2020, an evidence-based organisation providing tools, support and education to people undergoing fertility treatment. As Chair of its Executive Committee, his work focuses on access to quality education for patients across Europe, raising standards of patient care during treatment, and developing certification programmes for fertility clinics. The Society’s scientific and education committees are independently chaired.
Research, publications and speaking
Jakub oversees IVF Media’s original research on fertility treatment abroad, including the group’s patient surveys – most recently a 2024 study gathering 1,189 responses from patients considering treatment abroad – and the annually updated IVF Abroad Patient’s Guide covering treatment in 11 countries. He contributes to patient care guideline publications through the European Fertility Society and speaks regularly at fertility events across Europe on cross-border care, patient experience and transparency in the fertility industry.
“Nobody plans to become a fertility patient. When it happens, you deserve two things: honest information and decent care. Everything we build – the websites, the research, the Society – exists to deliver those two things.”
