Spanning insights from across continents, this unparalleled report is a definitive guide for understanding the evolving landscape of fertility tourism, making it an indispensable resource for anyone involved in the field of reproductive health.

Discover how patients are navigating their journeys, choosing destinations, and redefining the meaning of hope in the world’s most expansive exploration of cross-border fertility treatment.

The primary goal of our research was to gain a deeper understanding of the motivations and expectations of patients seeking IVF treatment abroad. We wanted to validate what we’ve observed over the years with real data collected directly from patients. The findings offer valuable insights for fertility clinics - particularly those working with international patients - as they highlight key areas where clinic communication often falls short of patient expectations. All patient responses were gathered through our network of websites, where we educate individuals considering cross-border fertility treatment.

Study Design & Methodology

Market research survey of global IVF patients seeking treatment abroad – based on 1,189 responses, focusing on:

What are the primary factors that cause patients seek out IVF treatment abroad to begin with?
  • Infomation needs
What information are patients seeking about clinics, and how? What information/channels build trust?
  • Preferences and limitations
What budgetary limitations, and preferences (e.g. country or clinic type) do patients have?
  • Past experiences
Are patients affected by their past experiences of IVF treatment? If so, what can we learn?
  • Subgroup analysis
To better understand different patient groups, responses are cut into various subgroups for comparison, e.g., by country of origin, level of prior experience with IVF or treatment type sought.
Example: patient experience based on the number of IVF failures in the past
